Gotsta save this for later... lol Too lazy to do any more right now. I had one HELLUVA fight to get it to look like this... >.<
Evolution
Over time, everything changes. The dragons were no different, and in the eleventh interval they began to change. The differences were small at first, with an abnormally large blue or green. No one thought anything of it, and blamed it on the expected arrival of the Red Star. And then evolution took a step further. The lower dragons all began be hatched with a metallic sheen, especially the larger ones, and then it happened. Approximately 1000 turns ago, the Greens began to clutch. Their clutches started small, and then grew to the proud size of about 10 eggs. During this time, the Gold hatchings began to decrease in size, until they too were about 10 eggs each. The Weyrleaders all accross Pern began to worry when the first Green, Kerrimeth, clutched dragonets that were all the size of a gold hatchling, from the greens to the browns to the TWO gold hatchlings. As soon as more greens began to clutch large, healthy hatchings, the Greens started to demand more respect, as they too could clutch the queens. The Golds did not take too kindly to this, and after 100 turns of turmoil, full fledged fighting took over. Dragon against dragon, rider against rider. The blood bath was disgusting, and many, many dragon and rider pairs perished. This eliminated the remaining smaller dragons, and with them the heirarchy fell to pieces. The lower colors we renamed to honor their metallic hides. Greens became Emeralds, Blues became Azerites, and browns became Coppers. With this strengthened gene pool, new colors began to develop, including the female Ruby, male Black, and male Silver.

Rebirth
The dragonriders were scattered. Some had moved to Holds to escape the fighting, while others took to the wild. This caused dragons to spread to the holds and even form small, wild colonies deep within the moutains. The Weyrs, however, needed to reform as Thread was looming on the horizon. Emerald Hazarith and her rider Isope created a new Weyr in the northern mountains, calling as many dragons as they could to their planned home. Many came, although an even greater number stayed away, not trusting the other colors. One in that did come was Silver Wendigoth and his rider G'rin, who seemed to help Isope and Hazarith take control of the numbers. Tornaments were organized between the various colors and genders to discover who would become the first leader of the Weyr. Hazarith was the victor and at her next flight she was flown by Wendigoth. They named their new domain Northern Weyr, as they were the most northern weyr there was. The new Weyrleaders then procedeed to organize the wings by color. The larger dragons could last the whole Fall, although to prevent them from tiring and making fatal mistakes, the wings still alternated. These new rules seemed to stick, and other Weyrs began to be set up, although some riders stayed at the Holds or in the Wild. [/font]
Now
It is now the end of the twelveth interval, and Thread is expected to fall within the next six sevendays. Fort Weyr, now led by Kaja and Gold Aziath and K'tal and Black Sarath, is 500 dragons strong. However, "groups" have begun to form in the Weyr, with each color sticking to its own, like some sort of feudal system. Each color is like a house, and a dragon and rider pair will do anything to protect it, even go against the will of the Weyrleaders. Aziath has a clutch on the sands, and while there are quite a few more males than females, Ruby Jasiath, known for her territorial behaviour when she is ready to clutch, is due to fly within the sevenday, and the dispute over the hatching sands will not be a pretty one. As top female, Aziath is constantly bombarded by threats against her reign, as is Sarath. The times are not pretty, and hell, sometimes even terrifying, but at least they're all in the same Weyr, right?

Tradition
Pern has always lived in harmony, despite the squabbles about when thread will come or what queen will fly next. The Gold Queens were the mothers of the Weyrs, with the bronzes all vying for her affection. The "lower class" colors came next, filling the ranks for the next bout of thread fall. The Greens, it seemed, were the most put out, as they were the smallest and never had the honor of laying their own clutch. They never complained, however, and Pern continued to live traditionally, with the Weyr's being run by the metallic colors and their Riders, while the Holds stayed dragonless.
